A Center of Blessing

The impact that the Livada programs have on the lives of children at risk cannot be measured strictly in facts or figures. The reason for us to be passionate about our work as a ministry for Christ is because we are able to save children who live in difficulty.

This spring, Livada will have a major impact in the community by providing services such as our new Day Center, “After School Program.” This new program is partnered with the Prevention of Abandonment ministry within Livada. These services can add significant value and support necessary to ensure educational growth for children at risk.

The first two students of this program are Szidonia and Narcis. After school every day they receive a daily hot meal and homework support. This coming fall they will also have the opportunity to gain life skills as a part of the program. The educator will help them regain important skills for school, but also teach them things such as cooking, going to the library and getting around town. In our program, these children can thrive in an environment where they can know God, accumulate Christian values, relate to other children, and participate in social and educational activities that help them in their personal development. They are also encouraged to attend meetings of local churches so that they can benefit fully from the blessings of God.

We want to increase the number of children as funds will allow us to do so. Right now, our classroom is operating out of one of the rooms in our Livada Office in Targu Mures, Romania. As we increase the number of students, we will expand our classrooms into a fully operational Day Center.

Please pray for Szidonia and Narcis as they catch up in school, learn about God, and that they would feel loved through this new program. Please pray for the educators as they seek wisdom everyday in how to best help these children in meeting them where they are. Please pray for us as a foundation so we can increase the number of children and have a bigger impact in the community.
