We have a phenomenal house staff who labor daily to help raise our 21 children and teenagers to become Godly, independent adults who break the cycle of abuse, neglect, and abandonment that has tainted their pasts. Each staff member is invaluable, and we are so thankful for the sacrifices they have made to be a part of the Fundatia LOC family. We know that most of the people who read the blog get a lot of information about the Livada kids, the kids in our Orphan Outreach and camp programs, and the at-risk of abandonment gypsy children that we care for through our Prevention of Abandonment ministry. However, most of you probably know very little about our staff. We would love to honor our house staff, but also, to allow each of you, to get to know them a little bit better.
Last month, we started something new at our two group homes, Casa Ana-Nadia and Casa Rebeca. We began a new reward that we will do each month throughout the year of 2011. Each staff member nominated one of their fellow colleagues as the Employee of the Month. Based off of everyone’s recommendations, the person with the highest number of nominations was awarded the honor of being named the Employee of January 2011. With each selection, everyone had the opportunity to explain why they chose the employee that they chose. The Employee of the Month at Casa Rebeca was Marius Grindean, and the Employee of the Month at Casa Ana-Nadia was Doina Nemes. Marius is the driver, and Doina is the cook. They were each awarded a certificate of appreciation, a small bonus, and a list of qualities that their fellow colleagues appreciated in them. Now, I would like to share the things that were said about these two employees.

The House Staff 2011
We would like to publicly congratulate and thank both Marius and Doina for their superior service and dedication to the kids of Livada Orphan Care. We look forward to sharing more about different staff members throughout the year, and we hope that you enjoy “getting to know” our incredible staff a little bit better! Please continue to pray for patience, wisdom, and love for each of us as we continue to minister and “defend the cause of the fatherless.”
