This past weekend, some of our friends from Stichting Livada in Holland came to visit us! As they have so generously done for us many times in the past, they took all of the 26 kids currently in the care of Livada shopping for their spring shoes! We were able to rent out a big shoe store in town for several hours, and each of the children was able to get a pair of shoes for school and a pair of shoes for their sport classes at school. The kids were thrilled to get to pick out the shoes that they liked best!
The kids and staff had a wonderful time picking the shoes that the LOC kids will wear throughout the spring and summer. We have found that keeping up with the tremendous need for shoes when caring for 26 children and teens is a very expensive and difficult task, and we are so blessed and thankful to once again have this huge need so graciously met by Stichting Livada.
